Huzurabad town was constituted as a Nagara Panchayat from Gram Panchayat in the year 2011 vide G.O. MS.No.396 MA & UD Department, Dated 03.09.2011. The population of the Town as per 2011 census is 25,576 and the Government has fixed the Elected Ward Member is 20 as per G.O. Ms. No. 200 M.A. and U.D. Department, dated 16.05.2013. The Town is covered by the Area is 12.00 Sq. Km. area. Huzurabad town, the headquarter of a mandal is about 40 kms to the south-east of Karimnagar and lies on the highway leading to Hanmakonda. Uppal and Jammikunta are the two nearest railway stations about 10 and 13 kms respectively on the Kazipet-Balharshah line.
There are so many mills in the town. The town is having with all kinds of Major and Minor Business like Rice Mills, Oil Mills, Agricultural Market Committee, and all departmental offices.
